about
ME
I'm an American actor with a story that spans from ballet to Broadway. After years as a Soloist at Carolina Ballet, I came to New York and 9-months later, was in rehearsal with Kelsey Grammer building the Tony Award winning revival of La Cage Aux Folles. Straight from there, I joined the cast of Chicago, kicking off the Cellblock Tango as Liz! After two Nat'l Tours, I made my principal debut as Cassie in A Chorus Line. Then, Christopher Wheeldon cast me in his world premiere of An American in Paris. We premiered in Paris, opened on Broadway, I performed in the Tony's (again!) and was thrilled to go on a number of times for the brilliant Veanne Cox as Madame Baurel. I've also worked with industry leaders including Josh Bergasse, Susan Stroman and the iconic late Anne Reinking.
I have taught for more than 20 years at the university level, for company-affiliated programs, and conventions. Currently, I'm an adjunct professor at Northeastern University (formerly Marymount Manhattan) in New York City, and past students include Academy award-winning Ariana DeBose, Sarah Pippin (2-time NYCDA Nat'l Champion), and Ms. Lauryn Hill (the Fugees). I have judged for many organizations, including NYCDA National Finals, and enjoy teaching as a guest artist around the country! I love creating for aspiring artists and my pieces have won Best Choreography. Thanks for your interest :)
